Darren Jones is an experienced British educator, mentor, and family governor with a global background in private tutoring and personal development for high-profile families. In 2010, he transitioned from a successful academic journey—graduating with First Class Honours in Business Administration from the University of Kent—into teaching English, where he discovered his passion for education.
With conversational Russian, excellent French and a clear English accent developed over many years of working with non-native speakers, Darren's approach to communication is honest, clear and supportive.
Since 2013, Darren has worked across Europe with VIP families, providing children aged 2-13 with engaging and immersive learning experiences. With a focus on supporting each child’s development, Darren uses positive discipline, STEM-focused activities, and his love for sports and creativity to foster a well-rounded, curious mindset. His work includes planning lessons, coordinating with other staff, and travelling with families to destinations like Moscow, Dubai, Monaco, and London, always ensuring the highest standards of service and care.
In 2017, Darren expanded his teaching globally through online lessons and a recorded online course, instructing over 600 students from 20+ countries and maintaining a 4.9/5 feedback rating. His teaching style emphasizes fun, purpose-driven learning, and real-world skills, with a clear English accent and an approachable demeanor.
Darren's commitment to education extends beyond academics; he aims to nurture character and confidence, ensuring that each lesson is tailored to the individual. He is currently based in Limassol, Cyprus, but remains open to international opportunities.
In his free time, Darren enjoys surfing (ASI Surf Instructor), participating in swimming and tennis competitions, and cooking internationl cuisine. In the lockdown of 2020, Darren was growing his own organic vegetables and setup a small website delivering boxes to the local region in Portugal where he was living at the time.
Darren is very happily married to his wife Olga, and they welcomed their first child to the world in May 2024.
